A self professed “student of life,” Joe has been helping people grow since 1980.  His diverse life experience  embodies the quintessential free spirit.  A native of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Joe has owned and operated numerous small businesses dating back to 1977.   In 2005 Joe began his consulting business. His clients range from small family owned businesses to industry leaders.

Joe attended The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee on a Fine Arts scholarship.  His vocational background includes more than thirty years in the flooring industry.  He has taught Interior Design at the college level.  In addition, Joe has developed and moderated workshops and seminars throughout the United States.  In 1997 Mader co-authored the highly acclaimed “Best Practices” training modules.  These programs helped establish benchmarks for the Flooring Industry and are still in use today.

An accomplished writer, Joe has written for a variety of trade publications.  In 2004 he and his wife Dawn collaborated on the book Inside Out, Reflections of the Soul.  This book features a collection of Joe’s poetry and Dawn’s illustrations.  His recent work includes published articles in Pulse Magazine and several blogs.  He is currently putting the finishing touches on his first screenplay that he hopes will be completed in the fall of 2009.

Joe considers his role as father to be his most important.  His son Tony (32) and daughter Angela (30) live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his youngest daughter Kristin (25) lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.   Joe is presently living in Grand Island, Florida with his wife and best friend Dawn and their two dogs Frodo and Marley.

His self styled method of coaching follows the philosophy that “people have the ability to solve their own problems.”  Mader believes the role of the coach is more about helping his clients discover for themselves the solutions to their problems.  “I serve as a conduit in helping people identify the obstacles that are holding them back.  I work with the client in devising and executing an effective action plan.  Joe recognizes that each client is unique.  He centers his approach utilizing a “Holistic” method of growth and wellness.

“The true essence of change begins with one single choice.”  Through objective encouragement and unconditional support, I help the client achieve through a high level of self belief and motivation.  Too often people become stuck in a negative mindset, Mader says.   Once ineffective and counterproductive efforts are realized, an action plan is tailored specifically to the needs of the individual.  The goal is to replace all negative practice with positive and proactive change.
